Kick-Off! World Cup 2010

Had a great kick-off party and we seriously need more goals.

I have to mention the host, South Africa drew their game with Mexico with 1-1. A thunderous goal scored by Siphiwe Tshabalala and equalized by Rafael Marquez.

France, always a slow starter in the World Cup, as lame as ever. The frontman Anelka and Govou was ineffective. Yada yada yada, it was a boring game. Even when Uruguay were down to 10-man, France were unable to score a goal and later when Henry was on, he complained about a hand ball by the Uruguay's player. Oh, the irony.

South Korea were entertaining and Greece were helpless. Park Ji-Sung, Lee Chung Young and Park Chu-Young were the main threat of Greece's defense throughout the game. Lee Jung Soo scored the opener and Park Ji Sung, spectacularly added the other one. Cool!

Oh yesh, I'ma give you a bigggg huggggggggg!!!

Argentina had their first match against Nigeria, and Nigeria's goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama made all the saves to deny Messi from scoring a hatrick. The only goal that day came from Gabriel Heinze. Tevez and Higuain flinched in front of goal, Messi was fun to watch but Nigeria were prepared and on guard to handle him. It was about luck, and Argentina were the luckier one.

He borrowed his suit from someone else. It's not your size Mr. Maradona.

Talking about luck, England proved to be the unlucky one. From David Seaman, Scott Carson, Paul Robinson, David James and now, Robert Green, they have all the goalkeepers to blame. Damn. What are the odds that all of England's goalkeepers are blunder prone? Sheit!! I think Joe Hart should have played.

USA is now a cocky team, tried to claim football as their game. Well, if you're American, it's soccer. Lucky for USA, Clint Dempsey's shot was deflected off Rob Green's hand and slipped into the back of the net.

Gerrard's 4th minutes goal was equalized with that goal. Millions of chances(oh,the hyperbole) were presented for England, but Heskey, Rooney, Shaun Wright-Phillip were unable to convert it in. Kudos to Tim Howard. Ashley Cole, Terry and Lampard were shitty. Yeah, noticed that, Chelshit players. Go dai.

Gerrard's comment afterwards, "The whole team is behind Rob Green". Yeah, in retrospect, that's a good place to stand if he's playing again.

We call it 'frust menonggeng'. You should have wash your hand after you ate that popcorn.

Germany, damn. All I can say is "Achtung für die Deutschen!". Oh, yes. i really meant it. We don't expect anything from them for this World Cup, but now, after I watched their game against Australia, heck, I think they are a serious contender for the cup. The passing was quick and sharp. The players were all fast and swift. The hammering of Australia proved their credentials. Podolski lighting bolt shot. Klose's header, Muller and Cacau's goals made it 4-0 win against the Socceroos. Tim Cahill got sent off and Germany held their game very well.

"Hüten Sie sich vor Podolski!"

Wow, I can speak German. Damn this Google Translate is good!

But still, it's too early to predict anything. Netherlands, Spain, Brazil and Portugal haven't play yet, and the best is yet to come. Roar!!
